Development tools to support wireless module evaluation and speed your hardware and software design process.
For each of their Cinterion wireless modules, Gemalto provide an 'Evaluation Module' version, which can be mounted onto one of the evaluation hardware platforms as indicated in the table below.
This allows an interchangeable and re-usable approach to hardware tools, invaluable when you have the flexibility to choice one of several footprint compatible devices in each family.
Below is an indication of which Evaluation Module may be used with each platform, some of which 'stack' for extended evaluation performance. Full documentation is available for each device and suggested tools.

The B60 consists of a PC Board designed for mounting the BGS2 Evaluation Module. Supplied with a USB cable for connecting to a PC, to provide communications with the module and power to the board. A coaxial cable is included which allows the Evaluation Module to connect too and use a PCB track antenna included in B60 board layout. All wireless module signals are available via two connectors on the underside of the board. These may also be used to directly mount the B60 board onto a DSB-Mini full-function eval board to provide simplified full access to the serial comms and audio signals.
Starter Kit B80
This B80 Board accepts several Evaluation-Modules for quick and convenient module evaluation. Included in the kit is a USB 'Y'-cable for connecting to a PC, providing communications with the module and power to the board. A coaxial cable also included allows the attached Evaluation Module to connect too and use a PIFA antenna on B80 board. All wireless module signals are available via two connectors on the underside of the board. These may also be used to directly mount the B60 board onto a DSB-Mini full-function eval board to provide simplified full access to the serial comms and audio signals.
Concept Board EHS6
The Cinterion® Concept Board is a development tool which enables designers to evaluate and design solutions based around the EHS5 and EHS6 wireless modules. Programmers can quickly build design M2M and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions.
As well as providing easy access to all of the EHS6 modules' interfaces, the board has a Shield Interface (following Arduino). Little to no hardware expertise is needed to connect all kinds of sensors and actuators. Wireless connectivity is provided by the Cinterion® EHS6 module and the on-board penta-band antenna.
Applications are written in Java using an SDK available free of charge from Gemalto, based upon widely known tools such as Eclipse and NetBeans.

The Multi-Adapter R1 is a simple and easy-to-use universal adapter board designed to act as an interface between any of the Cinterion Evaluation Modules above and the DSB75 or DSB-Mini evaluation platforms.
The 2x40-pin connector of the Multi-Adapter R1 attaches to the 2x40-pin headers located
on the DSB75 or DSB-Mini. An appropriate Evaluation Module can then be mounted onto the
adapter. The RF antenna (U.FL) connector of the module can be connected to the U.FL-to-SMA adapter of the DSB75 for connecting standard antennas with SMA connector.
AHS3/AHS6/PHS8 Adapter Board
This Adapter Board is designed to act as an interface between the Cinterion Industrial-Plus Evaluation Modules (including derivatives PVS8, PXS8, PLS8) and the DSB75 or DSB-Mini evaluation platforms.
The 2x40-pin connector of the Adapter Board attaches to the 2x40-pin headers located
on the DSB75 or DSB-Mini. An appropriate Evaluation Module can then be mounted onto the adapter. The RF antenna connections between the attached Evaluation Module and this Adapter Board is via Pogo-Pads on the board, SMA connectors are provided for connection of standard antennas.
DSB Mini Evaluation Board
The DSB-Mini is a simple and easy-to-use development support board, designed to help system integrators to evaluate and develop products based on Cinterion Wireless Modules.
The board provides two 40-pin connectors to mount the Cinterion Starter Kits B60 and B80
in order to evaluate the full functionality of modules that can be connected to these Starter Kits. Also, the DSB-Mini has an 80-pin connector to mount the Cinterion Multi-Adapter R1 or various other DSB75 product adapters together with their plugged modules. Signals and levels are in each case switched automatically.
This is ACTE's own version of the Cinterion Development Support Board iesigned to assist system integrators in developing and evaluating products based on Cinterion Wireless Modules. It includes the 2 x 40-way header to accept a variety of different Cinterion wireless modules using a suitable adapter boards as above.
